Join us as we travel from Pamplona to San Sebastian on a culinary adventure through the Basque region, visiting several cultural sites on our way to the spectacular Atlantic coast. First we visit picturesque Basque villages with their houses of cut stone, and learn of the deep local cultural traditions. We then stop to try the famous Spanish omelette and homemade Txistorra. The Basque fishing village of Hondarribia, with its exquisite seafood, is our next stop. Here we admire the colourful trawlers in the bay and powerful fortresses above the town. Then on to San Sebastian to delight in bite-size morsels of exquisite cuisine which we find as we walk along the cobblestone streets of one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the region. This city is internationally renowned for its gastronomy. We can spend siesta time on the soft sands of the Biscay Bay, taking a dip in the warm Atlantic Ocean, or just kick off your shoes and stroll the breathtaking waterfront in the warm sun.
