Out with the Locals
Pelota mano, a kind of handball, is a traditional Basque game played in the north of Spain, in the French Basque country, and in some South American countries. During San Fermin there is a tournament where the stands are packed, the bars are open, and there’s a whole lot of gambling in favour of one player or another. It is a remarkably entertaining event that will give you some insights into a sport you probably do not know, but that you will definitely appreciate. Tickets are either up in the stands (PALCO) or at ground level (PATIO).
