Andrea Llorente

Some people discover wine.
Andrea grew up with it.

Born in Salamanca and shaped by life in Haro, the historic heart of La Rioja, her story is rooted in vineyard landscapes, harvest seasons and family tradition. As a child, she spent long days in the field alongside her father, learning that great wine begins with respect for the land and patience with time.

Those early harvests formed a lifelong bond,  with her family and with the rhythm of traditional winemaking in Spain.

Today, Andrea welcomes travellers as a warm, knowledgeable host at Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta, one of the most historic wineries in Haro. Her visits blend storytelling, technical insight and genuine hospitality, creating memorable Rioja wine experiences for curious travellers and wine lovers alike.

But her most personal work happens on a smaller scale.

Andrea is the Wine Master behind her own family micro-winery in Salamanca, where she and her father produce a limited number of barrels each year. This small-batch winemaking project honours traditional methods, careful craftsmanship and a slower, more meaningful approach to wine production. Each bottle is shared with friends and family and occasionally opened for private wine tastings in Rioja designed for those seeking authentic, behind-the-scenes experiences.
Elegant, joyful and naturally meticulous, Andrea moves effortlessly between expertise and emotion. She loves comparing historic and modern techniques, always highlighting traditional Rioja winemaking as the true soul of exceptional wine.
Visitors are often surprised by how personal the experience feels expert knowledge without formality, elegance without distance, passion without pretence.
Time with Andrea is more than a winery visit in Haro.
It’s one of those rare Northern Spain travel moments that stays with you.
